Integrations

Log your hours from the AI assistant you already use.

Cronfy connects to Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and any app that supports MCP. Tell your assistant what you worked on — it logs the time in Cronfy.

Setup

Connected in about a minute.

  1. 01

    Create your account

    Sign up for Cronfy and create your workspace with your projects. Your team can join with a link.

    Try Cronfy
  2. 02

    Add the server

    Claude Code — run this in your terminal:

    Terminal
    claude mcp add --transport http cronfy https://cronfy-app.web.app/mcp

    For the whole team — commit this .mcp.json at the root of a repository. Each person still signs in with their own account.

    .mcp.json
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "cronfy": {
          "type": "http",
          "url": "https://cronfy-app.web.app/mcp"
        }
      }
    }

    Cursor, VS Code and other apps — add a remote MCP server (HTTP) with the URL https://cronfy-app.web.app/mcp.

  3. 03

    Sign in once

    In Claude Code, run /mcp, pick cronfy and authenticate. Cronfy opens in your browser: check the account and click Authorize. That’s it — no keys, no tokens to copy.

What your assistant can do

Log it, ask about it, fix it.

Log time

One entry per worked period of a day, on the right project and task — with a preview before anything is saved.

Fix entries

Change the project, task, description or times of your own entries.

Ask about your hours

Your entries for any period, with totals per day and per project.

Know your projects

The projects and tasks you can log time on, so the assistant never guesses an id.

Try saying

  • “Commit, push and log my day in Cronfy.”
  • “Log 2 hours on Acme for the Stripe integration fix.”
  • “How many hours did I log this week?”
  • “Move yesterday’s entry to the Design task.”

CRONFY.md

One file, and every repository logs the same way.

Add a CRONFY.md to a repository and your assistant knows which project and task the work goes to, your usual working day and how to describe it.

Ask your assistant to run the setup prompt to create it, then log_day at the end of the day. Or build the file in Cronfy, under AI agents.

It holds no secrets — ids only work for members of your workspace — so you can commit it for the whole team.

CRONFY.md
---
cronfy: 1
workspace: <workspace id>   # Acme Studio
project: <project id>       # Website redesign
task: <task id>             # Development (optional)
day: # your usual working day (optional)
  - "09:00-13:00"
  - "14:00-18:00"
---

# Cronfy

- Describe the day's work in one or two sentences, from my commits and our conversation.
- Only log days I actually worked on this repository.
- If the day is already logged, update that entry instead.

Safe by design

Your assistant can do what you can. Never more.

    You sign in with your Cronfy account in the browser — no API keys to paste or leak.
    The assistant acts with your permissions: your projects and your own entries only.
    It can’t delete anything, see other people’s hours, or see rates and amounts.
    Retries never create duplicates, and overlapping times are flagged before saving.
    Every entry it logs is marked with its name (e.g. “via Claude Code”) and can be edited in Cronfy.

FAQ

Questions

What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI assistants use apps safely. Cronfy runs an MCP server, so assistants that support MCP can read and log your time — with your permission.
Which assistants work with Cronfy?
Any MCP client that supports remote servers with sign-in, such as Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. Add the server URL and sign in once.
Do I need an API key?
No. The first time, your assistant opens Cronfy in your browser and you click Authorize. You can disconnect it at any time.
Can the assistant change other people’s data?
No. It works with exactly your permissions: your own entries, on active projects assigned to you. It cannot delete entries.
Do I need an AI assistant to use Cronfy?
No. Cronfy is a complete time tracker on its own — timer, manual entries, projects, clients, teams and PDF reports. The assistant is the fastest way to fill it in.

Stop filling timesheets.

Just tell Cronfy what you worked on.
