# Cronfy > Cronfy is a time tracker where you don't fill in timesheets: you tell your AI assistant what you worked on and Cronfy logs it. It is also a complete time tracker for freelancers, developers, consultants and small teams — timer and manual entries, clients, projects and tasks, team roles and hourly rates, reports with PDF and CSV export, and an installable web app that works offline. Cronfy runs an official MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at https://cronfy-app.web.app/mcp. Any MCP client that supports remote servers with OAuth sign-in (such as Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code) can connect; the person signs in to Cronfy in the browser, no API key is needed. The assistant acts with that person's permissions only. What an assistant can do through the MCP server: - Read the person's context (workspaces, time zone, today's date), their projects and tasks, and their own time entries with totals per day and project. - Log time: one entry per worked period of a day, with a dry-run preview, idempotency keys (retries never duplicate) and overlap checks. - Update the person's own entries. It cannot delete entries, see other people's hours, or see rates and amounts. - Check a repository's CRONFY.md, a Markdown file with YAML frontmatter that pins the workspace, project, task and usual working day for that repository. Entries logged by an assistant are marked with its name (for example "via Claude Code"). ## Pages - [Home](https://cronfy-app.web.app/): what Cronfy is and how it works - [Integrations](https://cronfy-app.web.app/integrations): setup guide for Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients, CRONFY.md, safety and FAQ - [Create an account](https://cronfy-app.web.app/register)
